The way
The way they showed me was
laid by rose petals,
stupid enough to believe them,
I walked the wrong way.
Little did I realize that it has hidden thorns.
Thorns that pierce your heart,
Draining out to the very last drop.
Destined to be far from my destination,
Each step ached and I was nearing my fate
The fate of being doomed.
I just longed to go the other way
The way everyone forbid me...
Perhaps, that was farthest from my target,
And the most beautiful journey,
I would ever have.
Yeah! It was full of twists and turns,
But yet I longed to go the other way
Because, I knew that was my way.
