I'm entering this older piece for a challenge on my other account. ‍♀️

    AUTOBIOGRAPH-ME
    by Carolyn Glackin
She had a mind for whimsical things
    Happy-go-lucky, carefree, with no strings
A joie de vivre junkie, always after a fix
With a whole lot of silly thrown into the mix
She had nary a care, save but for a few
Some minor pet peeves, but just one or two
    With an excess of nonsense
She was quite prone to laughter
    She lived in the moment
    From now 'til hereafter
    Growing up was unheard of
    She just wouldn't dare!
    Though she gave the appearance
    Through her savoir faire
With the heart of a child and the soul of a fairy
She managed quite well and was rarely contrary
    Buoyant and bubbly, bouncily bright
She thrived on elation, mirth, and delight
Her mind like a playground where creativity soared
Imagination ran wild and she never grew bored
She had a penchant for goodies and sweets
Chocolate confections and all sorts of treats
Cookies and pies and baked goods galore
Just a taste here and there
    She needn't much more
She was rather thick skinned, not easily hurt
When faced with unkindness she was civil and curt
A practical sort, she was not one to dwell
She moved on in peace, and wished one and all well
Any hurts she might cause were never intended
And she believed in the thought
    That all could be mended
She wouldn't play favorites, take sides or lay blame
A believer in fairness, regarding all just the same
No more and no lesser, none better or worse
Some thought it a blessing, some thought it a curse
In her mind at all times
    This thought she would see:
We are all branches, upon the same tree
If we're hurting the one, we're hurting the other
    Thus we're hurting ourselves
    And each sister and brother
Clearly, that's madness, and perhaps quite insane
So she focused on peace, to minimize pain
She cut no one out, even if they did part
She carried them with her, for all time, in her heart
    Because life is so fleeting
    And it's precious and true
Petty fights just aren't worth it
    And this, she well knew
So she forged on ahead, with hope in her heart
Each day a true blessing, and a brand new fresh start.

The following piece is my submission to my wonderfully innovative, dear friend @laughing_soul 's #mumbojumbo_LS_chal challenge.

    HAVE YOU HEARD?
    by Carolyn Glackin
    Mumbo jumbo
    Fiddle faddle
    Words that make
    Bad moods skedaddle
    Silly sayings
    So amusing
    Some are goofy
    Some, confusing
    Jesting, joshing
    Holy smoking
    Jeez Louise!
    So thought provoking!
    Or how about
    A few tongue twisters?
    They're sure to please
    Your bros and sisters!
    Riotous, rollicking
    Wild uproars
    Watch and wait
    As they clamor for more!
    Melodious musings
    To soothe the mind
    To bring on peace
    As you unwind
    You can say them
    With a friend
    Try and use them
    Without end
    Me? I'm just
    This poem's
    Narrator
    See you later
    Alligator!

Ok, this one's for my account name challenge over yonder on @carolyns_challenge_account ...
A big thank you to the following lovely ladies for kindly bearing my unauthorized use of their account names:

    @laughing_soul ♥️

    @smelly_cat ♥️

    @bluepuppy01 ♥️

I've also written a much longer piece, but I'll get to that one later. Anyway, it's a really amusing challenge, and the submissions I've read thus far have been awesome. Feel free to check it out, and/or join in.
    Blessings,
    Carolyn

In case it's difficult to see in the image, here's the piece:

There once was a laughing soul
Who had such a smelly cat
She had a blue puppy too
    And there's something
    Quite wrong about that!
For a pup should never be blue
And a feline should surely not smell
But I left the conundrum aside
'Cause I'm really not one to dwell.

    Oh darn those consequences, eh?!
Speaking of which, due to resting and sleeping all afternoon yesterday and today, I'm rather behind on checking challenge submissions. I believe I still have quite a few to check from yesterday's challenge. So, I kindly ask your patience for the time being. As long as you have the challenge hashtag in your caption area, I will see your submission eventually. While you're waiting on me to turn up, a great way to pass the time would be to support your fellow participants by reviewing their submissions 《hint hint, cough cough, chortle chortle》. Ahem...
At any rate, I thank you for bearing with me.
    Blessings,
    Carolyn

P.S. By the way, y'all are awesome and fantastic! Just sayin' ❤

Mm hmm... Keep it movin' people, keep it movin'!! Oh, and kindly don't save the drama for your mama. She don't want none of that either!
Ok, for realz though, this is an old favorite of mine that serves two purposes: 1) It never fails to make me laugh, and 2) It's a reminder for the wiseacres, yahoos, and ne'er do wells out there that this lady ain't havin' none o' that! That goes for both of my accounts, y'all! Now I'm not saying I'm old, nor do I ever plan to be, but I'm a little too grown for nonsense, drama, negativity, malarkey, rudeness, meanness, pettiness, idiocy, lunacy (with a few minor exceptions ), rivalry, cruelty, etc., etc., et al, blither blather, ad nauseam.
So, hopefully we're all on the same page regarding this matter; otherwise, I'll be pointing you to the nearest exit sign, and I really don't want to have to do that 'cause I'm a pacifist, ya know? I get along with darn near everyone. In fact, in order for me to not get along with you, you actually have to be trying reallllly hard, 'cause I have well more than one last nerve. Remember, I'm raising three sons. Builds character, lemme tell ya!
Bottom line: let's all behave and be civil. Be kind, respectful, tactful, or at least some semblance of a decent human being, and by God, keep all that other stuff off my accounts. For that, I thank ya kindly...
    Blessings and belly laughs,
    Carolyn

Disclaimer: Please note that although this post was primarily intended for the purposes of pedantic prose and harmless humor, and is directed at no one in particular, it does contain a shred of truth in the sense that the poster (a one said Carolyn Glackin) would prefer to abstain from unnecessary drama, negativity, and/or unpleasantries on either of her two accounts. Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.

Attention youngsters of Mirakee: I suppose that at age 42 (see age update below), I must seem like an ancient relic plucked from obscurity; and I know you mean it as a form of respect, but if you're around, near, above or beyond my age, there's really no need for *ma'am.* We're all peers and equals here, so please feel free to call me Carolyn. Also, I have it on good authority that 40 is the new 30, so by estimation that puts me at 32.

UPDATE: Seeing as a considerable amount of time has passed since I posted this, I should update my age. I am currently 45 years young, thank you very much, and all the rest of the above still holds true.
Love, blessings, and a heaping dose of silliness to all. ♥️

WILD WOMEN, WOLVES, AND THE MOON: Dispelling the Myths About the Modern Woman.
    by Carolyn Glackin
Here's the deal folks, I'm all for romance and glamour but I'm also somewhat of a practical realist. I need to clear up a certain matter before expectations start getting way out of control. Assuming you're a reader of poetry (assumed because you're on Mirakee), I'm sure you've noticed the way that modern poets are depicting women of today. To hear it told, we spend every moment of our spare time running wild and free under the full moon, decked out in a fabulous flowing gown, long hair dancing in the wind behind us, while surrounded by a pack of wolves. Anybody done that lately?! Does that even sound safe to any of you?!! I'm not even referring to the wolves just yet, I'm talking about running around in the woods with a billowing dress and long hair flowing all over the place! The hair's gonna get caught up in branches and the dress is gonna get torn to shreds by all manner of whatever the heck's growing on the floor of a forest and/or the pack of wolves! I mean, if the poets want to depict us that way, can we at least be wearing some work boots and a pair of coveralls? Maybe a clip for the flowing hair too... Alright listen, I'm not looking to get on anyone's bad list. It's a fun idea and all and I'm glad that women get to be wild and free instead of stuck in the kitchen or ironing in the laundry room or whatever; but I feel that it's my duty to reveal a perhaps truer version of today's modern woman. So, here's what you're likely to see if you show up unannounced at my house, full moon or no full moon: a tired woman with unkempt hair wearing a comfy pair of pajama pants and an ancient hoodie, sitting on her bed surrounded by more cats than any one household should possess, munching on loud, crunchy, messy snacks from several half-eaten bags around her. The wild and free part's legit. No argument there. To sum things up, I'll say this: women of today can be exactly three things: WHATEVER. WE. WANT. And we're getting pretty good at it!! So, that's the real deal my friends. As told by Yours Truly.
