I have always been mystified when I look at trees. This one is in my backyard and tells quite a story. I've spent my day back here and it keeps catching my eye. A cardinal flew by twice and stopped for a bit, then a few butterflies yet it's the trees that are speaking to me tonight

    Trees

There's something about the limbs of a tree
So sturdy, jagged and rugged to a degree
Strong yet bent aiming up towards the sun
Stretching out their limbs, rising up against each one
Similar to life I must admit
We start with our roots traveling onwards a bit
Until suddenly something grabs a hold of us
We start to sprout a new path
Our gaze ever yonder beyond our grasp
Yet our roots keep us grounded to where we first came
Deep down inside always knowing us best by name

Ah such as life, when I gaze at a tree
    The story of my life
    I am finally free.

What did the trees teach us?

To loosen out the leaves of greed,
To create a new blossom of love,
To give shade to all those who need,
Forgiving the sins of every dove,

    To let small fellows sing,
By sitting on the back of the branch,
And to nurture every newborn wing,
Till they fly out to find their munch,

Let no storm destroy any life,
Let no flood uproot the shoot,
Let no man-walker take away the hive,
And no wood-cutter step on the foot.

    Interesting right?
    How environment teaches,
    To make the bonds tight,
And to let go all the sinfull witches.

Some times all a big old dying tree needs is a tight hug, and you whispering "thankyou, thankyou for being there as a hope, doing us favours all the time, without asking anything in return"

And i don't know what happens it starts living again, i have seen this magic with my eyes...
Here is an incident related to me :

    There is (*i am using is because it came back to life as i said those words and they work like a magical spell) a tree, well i belong to village where we name every living object we have including trees ; its name is " mithauhan( whose mango is as sweet as sugar) ;
I grew up playing on it every time i visit my home i use to climb up grabbing few chapaties mixed with musterd oil and some salt on it , and sit up in a branch and talk to it like my friend, i ask did u missed me, cuz i did alot...
So it was like the same this time i saw its branches rottening up turning weak, bugs surround it ,termites made it look like rusting iron...
    I really felt very bad....
I took my capaties , gave to it stray dog and was about to leave as i was unable to watch it die slowly...
And suddenly i turned came closer to clear termites part of few with my hands, gave it a tight hug saying him sorry for not being with him so long, not being there to look after him everyday...
    Stayed in that position...
Then slowly patting him i said " thankyou, thankyou for being there as a friend, as mother...., thankyou to teach how to stand strong even in dying situation also " thankyou for standing there giving everything u had and asked nothing back....." and i left...

Just after years back when i visited all i saw was a magic....
It felt like dammn those words really worked like magical spells and he is rejuvenated....
Was never so happy seeing him green and strong and stronger this time

Forgive the grammer ' it' and 'his' are used simultaneously
