You see me and it still causes tension that resonates throughout your bones.
I feel your energy reflected;
An obscure, bitter displeasure.
A slow burn that swallows and consumes.
A haunting in your foundation.
An ache that bruises your soul.
I never meant to be that ghost,
I never meant to be that villian.
All I can do is be better, than who I once was.
I've burnt every passage of scripture,
That my demons once existed in -- now my holy book is empty.
I've set them free.
Destroy, Rebuild.
For once they've been purged, my heart becomes weightless.
Clarity forms.
Continue to mark new pages with an open mind, embracing whatever waters my roots.
Leather bound secrets, and confessions;
Lacerations of the heart are always buried deepest.
Cauterize and suture.
Embalm the memory of me, you burn first.

Of heroes and villains
There are heroes
and there are villians,
the world is always divided
in these two,
each fighting for their own
respect,
and then,
there is you,
with no power of your own,
watching all the action
from the bylanes,
and wondering,
when will your stars shine,
and you get to choose,
but fear not,
your time will come,
but instead of being a hero,
be a villian,
there's more struggle,
honesty and sincerity,
because not every hero,
is really a hero in real life.
