I knew of a girl who grew up in my neighbourhood. She was always here and there, Causing trouble. Her unbridled tongue pierced through harmless hearts. People cautioned her, But she wouldn't listen. The girl with the golden eyes, chestnut hair, but a deflated character. Friends and families clenched their jaw as irritation colours their brows. Anywhere she goes, She is admired, uplifted but her attitude prevented her from going further. That was the girl who grew up in my neighbourhood.
I have paced the earth on four legs, with no teeth, two legs, but not three. Turned in between flight, for what seems mine.Swift, steady, faster I run. Wishing I could outpaced time as memories stole me over in search for what seems mine.
The colours of my thoughts, I can't describe. Is it that of the sky, the field, tomato sauce or that of my race ?
At three, in a Disney world which seems perfect and life looks better. Being cuddled as I await mother's fascinating bed time stories.
Life was as yellow as the sunflower, dripping rich milk of happiness and optimism. Unknowingly, I was born in a world painted in gold. Where power and possession is ultimate as men stab their brothers in the heart.
At eighteen, a social being. My laughter rings out and vibrates across the room as Joy fizzed through me like bubbles in champagne. I'm as orange as the colour of warmth and Autumn.Mother tries to make me confides in her, father makes me see reasons, but I was engulfed. I saw the world in an angle I could control. My jaw clenched with pride, stars danced in my eyes as I claimed freedom with two tiny hands. Indeed,I bleed purple!
Twenty five years memories were made. Sensitivity and calmness, life indeed gave me to treasure. Hurt backing up in my throat, but I swallowed it as I seduced love just by the tail because I was shade of blue tinted in pink.
For a score and fifteen years, kindness coats my heart with sweetness for I have seen the world for what it is.The world is silver ,but it's also gray , there is no black-and-white. I'm black tempered with white, though I bleed red but silver blood runs through my veins.
