My soul is a deep, dark and narrow tunnel leading to an abandoned train station where air smells like dust, wind and nostalgia while the tracks feel cold, sharp and naive.
There is an old post office by the empty station, with the letters that were written but never found their way to the other end. It was decorated with wooden furniture where people who loved once long ago sat, while the pictures hanging on the walls portrayed incomplete smiles and hidden lies.
An elegant dutch coffee shop stood tall on the opposite side which serves cakes sprinkled with hope and coffee mixed in guilt while happiness was buried in the wooden floor. The menu said they were out of 'love and light latte' leaving no reason behind for hopeless people to come.
An aesthetic bookstore was located far away from the train station yet close to the tunnel's ending. The dusty rug in the middle was imprinted with dull flowers which looked elegant and reeked of a writers footsteps. Cash register was small, broken and empty except for bookmarks on the shelf labeled with "find the old books with dust undisturbed and worn off covers for these clothe true treasures." The room was small yet walls managed to welcome a full heart overflowing with pain. An old couch and a strong table, have held readers and writers who came in to make their own little infinities and the pile of half read books on the table along with a piece of paper with an incomplete poem gives hope and a reason to come back down here, to visit the depths of my soul and to feel alive.
