Take me to a home embraced by the mounts, where trees can sing me lullabies, wind can mess up my hair, birds and animals to talk to me, and where i can enfold myself in the love of your heart Forever and ever after.
I have walked these trails, For decades, too close to a century. A wildness and remoteness, Easily lost if not for my memory. I walk early before sunrise, Journeying slowly beneath stars, Waiting for this moment, When the ascending sun from afar, Ignites this fortress, now a home, As she stands strong, bravely indomitable, Invulnerable to attacks from far away lands, Her sturdy walls defiant, so commendable. I live alone in a humble home, Living an honorable but modest life. But I see myself in her proud arrogance, Never overwhelmed by worldly strife. She is the focal point in all of this wild, Sharing her dominion with this unruly nature. The mountains steely the forest burnt umber, This scene before me never looked greater. Decades I’ve seen this glorious view, She now lives inside me, radiantly to surmise, At my final breath I’ll see her majesty, Inviting me back for a final sunrise.
