freeing the tainted metaphors that are stuck
in the gossamers of my stygian soul.
Our ending was a shooting star
that fell far
from its home yet in right place.
Our ending was a nightmare, made me scared of batting my eyelid but I clenched my eyes tight in fear
So it could finally come true.
Our ending was a lethal poison, putting our souls
to eternal sleep, still, not in peace.
Our ending was the beginning
of a never-ending feud between me
and happily ever afters
A feud, seemingly between me and myself.
