Do you remember when i wore that red lipstick
You compared the shade with your wine
You said it tasted like strawberries and smelt like cherries
I wear it still
But perhaps its smell has faded now
May be the strawberries are tasteless.

Do you remember the earrings you gifted
You said my eyes shine brighter
And so does the earrings, as they go with my eyes
I wear them still
But perhaps its shine is dull
May be because my eyes couldnt hold much.

Do you remember when i wrote the poem for you
You compared the words with kafka
You said i am the only drop of water to quench your thirst
I read it still
But perhaps the words are meaningless now
May be because i am not the only drop of water anymore
