The moon glows orange in the sky
Pools of light flood my window frame
Hanging low enough to catch my eye
I can’t help but feel he descended amongst flecked obsidian to remind me that things can rise as they fall
To reinforce that not all who are momentarily forgotten are permanently forgettable
In the morning he sends his sister
She fills the amber of my eyes with molten gold
I let her sink into my iris and heal the cracks in my soul like kintsugi
My dual protectors watch over me
Even with clouds in the sky I am never alone
