    That wasn't me
    That was me acting for you
    That was me thinking you could ultimately wield the power
    That was me thinking sexism was only in the news and broadcasted in daylight
    That was me desperately trying to justify my submission for kindness
    That was me thinking the love that casted my eyes could divert me from the truth
    The truth that it felt natural you had the power to possess
    And suppress

    But now I'm here putting you in your place
    Telling you that power was never in the hands of a man that deserves my humanity
    And that I can only share that power
    From one human to another
