But what if you start to make promises to yourself
Start by promising yourself that even when things look extremely dark
You will look for that little light
Others see in you

That if you want to cry
That you will do it without judging yourself
That if you are happy and content
You won't look in the back of your mind for something to steal that joy

Promise to live in the moment
That you won't go fetch sorrow from tomorrow
Just to validate why you shouldn't be happy today

Promise to love yourself every day
No matter how down you feel
Love yourself in every moment in every emotion
