No heads up, no cues, and surely, no suggestions—life unfolds in all forked up ways, and changes like variables on drugs. There is no fool-proof guidance on how to live, believe me, we are better off without one. Taking all the punches you can take, walking all the miles you can walk, and reaching for the stars as much as you can, you live your truth in your own way, only to find out that someone has gone through what you have been through with much less pain and much more grace. What then life is about, you think? Had I known—had we known that—why would any of us be here, darlings?
