A Letter to The One
Before I say anything else, I want you to understand that I'm not perfect. You may think I am, but I'm not, and never will be. No one will ever be perfect.
I'm just stunned by the fact that among billions of others, you found me. That when my heart was flying aimlessly, you caught it. I feel lucky.
I can't promise you that life with me will be always full of happiness and joy. But I do promise that I'll walk with you on knives as well as flowers indiscriminately. If you need a shoulder to cry on, let it be mine. But if you feel like wiping your own tears and staying strong, I'll watch from a distance and smile. I respect your decisions. Your choices matter.
This world is of monsters. I have seen it enough to know that. It's beautiful, yes, but also monstrous. And if I have found you, I consider myself privileged. For it's not easy to find someone like you among thousands of others who walk past; they back stab and poison minds just with their mere presence. People wear masks, different types of them. It's a routine now. But you, my dear, I see you. I know you. And you're precious. Just be my abode, be my rescue.
I may be busy all day and not talk to you. But at the end of the day, all I need is your arms to hold me.
I don't say things won't change, everyone and everything changes. But I promise you, my love won't degrade, it will evolve.
All I ask from you is yourself, and the rest will fall into place. We are children of the storm, fighting for the sunshine.
Let's do that. Let's be adventurous. Let's take risks. Let's learn things, try things we never have. Let's be inquisitive. Let's dive deep.
Let's have courage to enjoy the present while planning for the future as we learn from our pasts.
