    Dripping blood half-dried, the arrow
    straight through
    the heart it is, has popped
    the eyes from end to end,
    yet the calling is perfect; keeps the name
    quite well; black beak opens
    to spread the crumbs
    Of week-old blood, now coagulate stones;
    Transfigured reaper of transfigured love,
    Ersatz, the gift it gives
    to you, few draws of breath
    With a smoker's lungs, that's all;
    its nutrition, the stench of slivered heart
    boiling, in a cauldron of carcinogens,
    Of iterative folly, a Mockery
    strolling, a moody feline love is,
    shan't let you know, if it has come to you,
    shan't let you know, if it'll stay,
    that is the point, not for you,
    For that bird whose wings
    always hide the night,
    its nutrition, the stench of a slivered heart,
    it'll call, one you won't want to hear,
    perfect though it is, keeps the name quite well.
