    Everything To Dust

    Don't you hear eternity?
It churns my fear, and blends,
    Everything to dust in time,
    Lovers, family, friends,
What are we, but atoms made,
From stars, so long since gone?
    And soon we'll be dispersed,
Out to where we all came from,
    Don't you feel eternity,
    It resides within, and takes,
Every part of what was you,
    To reassemble, and remake,
    A universe that's in decline,
To a spectrum of pure black,
    Where no atom can escape,
Nor will ever once come back.
