Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Ahhhh, it is you my dear friend! You play a role.
Your role is quite important to me,
You are like the perfect flea.
You keep the memory that haunts me everyday, very alive.
That memory I can’t fully remember.
My parents told me how I got to the USA.
I was born in China, my homeland.
My birth parents left me in front of a police station when I was a very young baby,
When people bring up anything about China, that I think is rude.
It is my instinct to protect my birthplace with pride.
And to you PTSD, I say thank you! Fro which I am not afraid to hide my pride,
That I love where I was born
