Sitting by the window,
One summer afternoon.
I gazed at the beauty beyond,
And revelled at the peace and harmony.
But the tranquility was disrupted,
There was a rustling of dry leaves.
As a snake slithered by,
The eagle that circled with grace overhead.
Now swooped down only to vanish,
With its prey clawed firmly.
Into the vast blue expanse.
The peace returned ,
With the food chain intact.
