Major Depression, how I define and understand.

Depression is a disease that sometimes can't be seen by the naked eye. Psychologically considered as a mental health problem. It's a state where a person's dimensions of wellness is physically (intellectually, socially, environmentally, occupationally), spiritually and emotionally broken. It's a dark spot that can grow and corrupt the person's physical world if not helped or prevented. Causes are often unknown. But some are triggered by occasions such as the lost of loved ones, loneliness, daily struggles and horror experiences. This results to unbalanced emotions, mood swings and most especially sadness. It's common to feel sad all the time but its way way different from people who have depression.

There's 8 out of 10 who are suffering from depression that don't visit or attend any kind of medical treatment. Only 2 can afford therapies and doctors. How can you tell if a person is suffering from depression? During mild stage, most of the time you can't. Though mild depression is feeling blue temporarily, this can go on a day and easy to dismiss. Moderate stage, You may see him/her laughing or making jokes, how she look good on her make up or how he look cool on his outfit, etc. These are positive physical appearances and there's a lot more but that doesn't mean they don't have it. They try their best to fit in the world they live in and keeping their true feeling and emotion is a burden inside. Several chose to hide this to make them feel normal. But why do they choose to keep it? Because most people don't understand their situation. Because others misjudged them. Because others doesn't even care. Moderate stage may lead to worst if not controlled, majorly affects the physical world. Severe depression, I define it as a deep dark pit hole. A person with severe stage suffers on the utmost degree of sadness and loneliness leading to thoughts of death and suicide. The feeling of helplessness, hopelessness, that life isn't worth living and ending their lives may free them from the pain.

Depression is a serious illness that can't be understimated. It can take life without knowing. I hope this will make the world understand more about what lies behind the people who have depression. Be their light in the dark. Hold their hand when they feel like falling. Love them. If you're suffering from depression, don't be afraid to reach out your hand. It's okay to seek for help. You don't have to fight it alone. Leaving the world is not the only answer. There's a lot more reasons to live, just don't give up looking and searching for it. Always remember, sometimes you don't feel it but you are loved by someone and they will even love you more during your hard times. Keep holding on.
