I saw her and my heart stopped!

I remember the day as vivid as a child having his first trip to Disneyland.
Lucid, detailed and with a tinge of exuberance that romanticises even the mere phenomenon of existing.

    It was perfect.
    Paradoxical, but perfect.

    Every element had a story of its own;
A jigsaw that was never meant to fit but was still aesthetic
The dots that never connected but still completed the picture
    Paradoxical, but perfect.

    The sky was flaring pink,
a corsage of vicious azaleas at the horizon which slowly fades out into a flamingo smothering the sky.
    Soothing.
    A pink January sky!
    Paradoxical, but perfect.

The ocean couldn't have been more enhancing.
A large smooth stroke of teal on a white canvas with waves of Prussian blue in amidst.
Random on sight, but perfect at their spot!
As if completing a bigger picture.
Something my callow mind was unable to comprehend. Still is!
A silence that could be heard
    A chaos which was composed
    Paradoxical, but perfect.

    And I saw her

    I was late
but my timing couldn't have been more perfect.
    I missed the sunset
But dusk, it set me free!
I was there for an escape,
but I found myself a gate, an opening.
I was there to drown in melancholy,
but I was somehow floating in euphoria.
    I missed the sun,
    but the stars caught me.
    Oh, so paradoxical!

The wintry winds were supposed to be shivering,
But it caressed my face like a gentle breeze
The stormy gale was supposed to throw me away
But gracefully ruffling my hair, it did not freeze
    Paradoxical, but perfect.

    And I saw her
    Her eyes were oceanic blue,
but they reflected the pink sky
They looked at you and then they looked into you.
They had the oceanic depth in them
    Mysterious, intriguing, enchanting!
    Her eyes, they captured you!
    And it happened
I saw her, and she caught me
I saw her, and she captured me
    She saw me

Her gaze was mystic and the experience ecstatic
As if a lover reunited after eternity
Caressing their entirety; converging, coalescing into each other and savouring every inch of it
    Warm but passionate
    Gentle but intense
    Paradoxical but perfect

    And it happened
I saw her, and she caught me
I saw her, and she captured me
    She saw me
    She saw me and reflected
    Ha, paradoxical!

I saw her and my heart stopped!
