Down the window pane
She could see the droplets of rain
The sudden sound of thunder
Made her words shudder.
She ran into her mother's embrace
But even that warmth failed to calm her heart's pace
Stop being a scaredy cat, her brother told
It's just thunder, be bold!
But little did they know that the fear in her
Wasn't because of the thunder but was because of her beloved uncle.
He ripped her soul apart in the darkness of the night
When the thunder took away all the light.
She looked outside the window with watery eyes
Was it just a dream? But the pain never lies
It's okay my child the thunder will stop, her mother assured
And one day he will stop too, her broken heart reassured.
