I remember the day I was born
    Nothing had stopped
Hanging by the current of time
It was only my mind that was still
So still, it could look into itself
My body, rising from the ashes
Limp and ready for a storm
And the the thoughts swirling in my brain
    Spoke only of a philosophy
    It was then I understood
The past that I had so feared
Had given me a stern purpose
A purpose to live and not exist
And I felt it igniting my veins
    As it coursed along
As I spread the ink to write another history
As I took the path to another birth
