To All The Versions Of Me
I've been it all, through the years,
Quiet as a mouse, quick to tears,
Louder than a party, hard to please,
Even with a stranger, completely at ease.
I've been bold, I've been scared,
My heart has been barred, then bared.
I've been loving and hateful,
Sweet and just as spiteful-
Really, I've been all sorts of things,
And I'll be changing forever more too,
Because I learn to avoid what stings,
And cherish the parts that never do.
