    "I'm sorry I was never there for you, "

    They whisper as they stare woefully into a cracked mirror .

    There is no response , and they sigh , growing steadily sick of this mindless charade.

    They lean back against a grayed wall and wonder why people expect them to be there for others when they can't even be there for themselves .

    They cast a wry smirk at the mirror,and realise with a start that for the first time in an eternity , the reflection is more than a glassy eyed representation of them .

    For the first time , they see their soul reflected in their eyes .

    For the first time, they feel hope .
