Fishbowl

How easy to live inside this fishbowl
Where all is safe and in control
How easy to dream while sleeping a fish
Where living is as distant as the ocean mist

How hard the tide must be to swim
Amongst currents of seaweed and plancten
How hard it must be in the depths below
Where freedom is all and all is unknown
How simple my life, how impeccably grand
Where nothing ever changes, and all goes as planned

I dream just as I grow, to match my environment
This bowl keeps me safe, till death or retirement
