    ||| Hell on Earth! |||

    Where I live,
    Soon after dusk
    The town turns drowsy!

    Here,
    The houses are cramped
    Secrets escape through the windows
Resting and ridiculing at the neighbour's wall!

    Here,
    The ticking of the clock
    Is a reminder
    That it's the time
    For procrastination!

    Here,
    In every bookshelf
    Decays a journal
    Paralyzed at its spine
    Enduring the weight of
    Some poet's perpetual whine!

    Here,
The houses fail to be home
At the death of the night
    When dreams resign
    For nightmares to resume
I sense the walls crawl closer
Choking me in my own sleep!

    Here,
    The houses are painted black
At the crack of the dawn
    Rays pierce into my eyes
But as I peak out to seek some moonlight
    I see the crescent defy!

    Here,
The roof of the houses soak each drop of rain
Provisioning tears for every eye in this reign
Gardening the soul that has quit their bodies
From this graveyard to that faraway heaven!
