    Black Sun

    Nothing lasts forever,
No matter what the good book says,
Whether it be right, or wrong,
    It won't matter, anyway.
All this world will be forgot,
As the sun dies down to black,
As countless others do the same,
    They'll never once be back,
    No God, or heaven's promise,
    No judgement for your sins,
Just as you were before you breathed,
    You'll return to, once again.
    Ideology or philosophy,
Are as much dust as the dead,
For the only eternity we conceive,
Is this moment, in our heads.
