Sweet lie

I think the bitter truth is better than a comforting lie ,
Coz you will trust them with all your heart and in the end making you cry.
It's ok to know that I'm just an acquaintance,
It's ok I'm a barbed fence.
It's ok if you're just trying to be nice,
But please dont make me believe your lies.
For I have no clue what they are ,
Leaving me a permanent scar .
As said in life of pi ,
We see the reflection of us in the animal's eye .
And yes it applies to humans too
