There are certain things I cannot explain. Lives and lies Have so entangled Nothing seems real anymore. But it was all simple Till you came along And became my poetry. You help my hand And showed me the world You locked away in your heart. Towns and cities Smeared with rebel and war scars And all your eyes ever showed Was a sign of complacency In this world you were so unhappy living in. Picture frames dripping in a sense of Foreboding And I asked you one night What is that sadness you dance with. And you clasped my hand tighter And smiled you sad sad smile.. But there is home for everyone. And yours is here. In a night, under no stars. Where the world cannot be any darker. With someone whose hand you can hold tighter And still feel them slipping away.
