Flowing down life's river
Through the rough Rapids
Over boulders and fallen trees
Drifting around the bend
Caught in a whirlpool
Spinning in circles
Then sucked beneath the surface
Choking under the water
Like a prisoner Gasping for air
Her hand releases
And I surface once again
Into an estuary
As the ocean welcomes me
