We’re made of flesh, blood and bones
but inside of us,
we spill tears and thoughts—
Somewhere, lost in between the eyes,
we express emotions,
we let rage burn our skin,
or laughter slip from our lips.
Where we should simple creatures,
we create worlds and ideas and art
to fill us, to give us meaning.
Humans, we should be ordinary,
but we are so complex,
so much more.
