    The Clock on the Wall

The landlady didn't remove her clock on the wall.
It doesn't have any hands to tell the hour at all.
I wonder if she's like Agnes.
Clocks with no hands were her thing.
She believed in the idea of not seeing
    the time passing.
    But Agnes passed away,
    but her clocks still remain,
I guess in her house they stay.

Or maybe the landlady just loves purple things,
just like the paint on the wall.
    Maybe purple is her thing.
but the color will fade, so is
    the clock on the wall.
