    - 4 cups of flour
    - 1 cup lukewarm water
    - 1 egg
    - 4 spoons of sugar
    - 1/4 cup margarine
    - 1 spoon of yeast
    (Makes 12 - 15 average size doughnuts)
    Pour lukewarm water in a bowl and dissolve the yeast
    Add sugar, margarine, and egg, pour flour and knead into a soft dough. Allow to rise for 30 to 45 minutes, roll and cut out desired shapes of donut, deep fry until slightly golden.
    Dust with granulated or powdered sugar
