Binding promises

I promised you to, Always love you,
You promised me to, Always be with me,
Our relationship went through Very rough patches
And now it is no longer a relationship,
Then why we are still holding on to our promises to each other
That I still love you
And you are still with me
Not exactly in the dimension we want
But atleast we have something to hold on to
We have something to bind us together
And still not together.
