Redemption in rain
It is past midnight and raining outside
I am in my bed, wide awake
Urged to storm out and stand in the rain.
And feel the heart wrenching cold.
Naked, and I am not ashamed.
I’ll smile at the lights and laugh at the thunder
Wash out all the pain.
All the dirt, all the sins...
I feel the rain while still in my bed
My body is shivering,
shaking all that aches.
I’m a lil drenched, but that is okay
I feel light for my soul is clean
I’m still shivering but that too is fine
For I’ll sleep tight after a long long time.
