You promised me eternity
With the caveat of oblivion and despair
In which I gladly penned my name
For everyone abandons me
Fathers and brothers and friends
By choice or by cosmic design
Whether fault reigns
Or our lifeforce swims regardless
But I tire of your empty promises
Your snake skin agendas
What is life but love and risk
And your foolish guarantees
offer neither
Refund my soul
I'm no longer your consumer
