rot

i say i walk on eggshells -
say that I'm trying to avoid landmines - i've set off way too many in the past

i stand on ground that has seen nothing but war - it calls war it's home
but war can be no home
it keeps me a orphan
for war can have no family
it feeds on greed and rot
it feeds on spite and decay
it feeds on the almost-dead
and i keep it alive -
no one else would eat me.
