THE LAST COLD WORDS FROM THE FREEDOM FIGHTER
Chinua Achebe said,
“That boy calls you father.”
“Do not bear a hand in his death.”
Why did you kill me, father?
Is it because I asked for a loaf and not a stone?
Is it because I asked for moon light and not star’s?
Is it because I asked for better Nigeria and not ‘that Nigeria’?
Is it because I asked for…..
You shot me on the head!
You killed me!
You shed my blood!
I am gone but remember that I am not gone:
Until Nigeria becomes the perfect market scene
For her citizens, my spirit still protests.
SARS must fade away like season
And peace must return home with affection.
