She chose the fabric for her wedding dress,
With utmost solicitude,
Gazing at the final stitched attire,
Her eyes gleamed with content,
Making her wish,
If the fabric could in the same way,
Turn her new journey into a heavenly bliss,
Alas! Life's cruelty,
The one chosen as her soulmate,
Became the one,
Who made her soul depart away,
Leaving her body in disgust,
Was it the fabric which was at fault?
Or the society will ever address,
The heinous crime known as Marital Rape?
