I find my mother every where
When nothing went right,
When I was about to surrender,
The breeze went over my face,
And made me feel your softness.
When the days were cruel,
When friends became foes,
When FORTUNE too slapped,
The NIGHT felt like your comforting lap.
When words told were painful,
When my innocence was questioned,
The rustling of leaves gave me,
The melodious sound of your bangles.
God took the innocence of a flower,
The truth of this nature,
And when he was done,
He named it MOTHER.
