    The Graduate's Choice

    Tradition serves as valued testament,
Which underscores the things of greatest worth
Thus taking part in ritualed event,
Unites through time with others in their mirth
A graduation also marks a shift
When things of old are set aside for new,
With realization life is truly swift,
Participants must look beyond their view
Commemorating all that they have done,
Reflecting on the ways that they have grown,
What matters most, though, with the rising sun,
Is nurturing the sacred seeds they’ve sown
For education only gives the tools
The choice is theirs to grow or end up fools.
