I'm not as vibrant
As I used to be
When I was free
And would swing from tree to tree

I lack the vibrance
I once had
When I would dance
Like a crazy lad

The pain in my back
A constant reminder
Of the piled up years
In a skyscraper of a stack

Never did I imagine
A day when I
Would sit and smile without a tooth
Reminiscing on the days
Of a healthier youth. #poetry
