The nights of nine moons in the beginning of summer and beginning of winter urges mankind to wake up from the slumber of ignorance, remove all negativity, cleanse the mind and nurture positive values. The first three moons are devoted to the divine mother 'Durga' the goddess of shakti. Later three moons are devoted to the goddess of wealth 'Laxmi' to gain the wealth of body. And the last three moons are celebrated to accumulate knowledge that comes from the most divine goddess 'Saraswati'. The tenth day, Vijaya Dasami or Dasara, marks the glorious ovation of the soul at having attained deliverance while living in this world, through the descent of knowledge by the grace of goddess Saraswati.
