Dear Lincs, June, 2013. Xavier's Ladies hostel, Ahmedabad. Room No. 13. Remember that? Ofcourse you do! . . Well, I will never get tired of telling that story to the world and to you! So, I remember I was arranging my cupboard and suddenly there comes a girl filled with extra energy of being there. I now get she has that energy 24X7! Our conversation started with a question she popped up with which eventually lead the two of us from the heat inside the room to the heat in the balcony with the mild breeze of June. We talked as if we have been friends since our diaper-days! Funny right! . . Lincs, apart from all the nonsense and stupid laughters, there have been days when I was not myself and you knew how to bring me back. TY was a tiresome mess for me and you made sure I laughed hard not just smile as far as it was humanly possible for you. You are not a person who picks up our calls(Sushma and me) on the first ring (which we'll sue you for, soon), but I have never been in a situation where I needed to cry and you didn't pick the call up. It was as if you knew already! Even with the distance of miles I felt you were sitting next to me holding my hand and letting me pour out every single drop of pain. Woman you are a hell of a beauty! Yet, never showed the slightest pride in being one. Down to earth is way to small a word for you. You make sure that people you care about are safe and sound. You have the ears to listen to them without complaining or judging. Aren't you an angel! . . It takes more than courage to be a friend of mine! And in this friendship, it has always been you, ALWAYS, the one who took the first step every time, every damn single time! I don't have to lie or think before saying things to you and that makes it more than comfortable to be around you. You love me People need a friend who acts like a glue to keep the group together, I need you as that glue to hold me together. I miss the hugs and kisses darling. I miss you. I love you. I pray to all the Gods the world believes in and to the entire universe that whenever you read this letter, no matter how old you get, I would still be your "crazy stupid" friend until death parts us. Amen.
