A Trip Down Memory Lane
For all the years I was alone,
There were stories of a certain nostalgic tone.
Some came and a few left,
Leaving me to deal in bereft.
Love was an illusion of surreal sort,
Till SHE came by and changed the whole plot!
I was taken aback by that ethereal smile,
As it rejuvenated me with such virtuous guile.
The truth be told, I was no believer,
But that gentle touch gave bliss to this griever.
Life was hard and hardships always followed,
But she made me well like a drug I had swallowed.
When memories broke free and gushed me into a hallucinating state,
She held me tight and didn't let go, as I closed down that gate.
For happiness I had truly attained and never been such jolly,
For you're My Caroline who made me H.O.L.Y.
