John 15:1-5 New International Version (NIV) The Vine and the Branches 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener", God says, he is the gardener where we have to be with him in all our works. In every works we do or anything we start for he have to keep faith in him that he can guide us in every possible way so that we can have a life that God loves. Depending on ourselves in all we do without God is useless. He is the one who will give power to attain a good days for us. He cuts the fruits that bear no fruits, a tree that earns no fruits is useless. He compares vine and the tree with us and him. He says keeping faith in God can make us strong in our lives because we fear nothing because he lives because we also live. While every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, he throws the dead leaves and branches that are no more to bear fruits, he cuts the dead branches and stems to grow even more greener to earn a beautiful tasteful and beautiful fruits in the garden, here he compares the lines to the humans where those whoever don't believe in God or don't keep trust in him he destroys all them. For whoever keep faith in him will run their lives so beautiful and smooth because he is the one who guides them in every angle. It's the sign and principle where God connects us. For all these words in him who lives all they are holy to him. Like the true vine and branches, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. He clearly says, with love, the creator of the universe who loves us so much says if remain in me and I will remain in you. Living in him we can bear fruits, it's a trouble for us it's so called to call a sin if do not bear fruits. Ask God to remain in you. How pleasant it is to have a life that loves God.
Matthew 12:49-50 New International Version (NIV) 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
His will is to reach souls to him. He always want us to glorify him. He wants nothing from us but a life he wants and to love him with all our hearts. He calls us a friend, we know an example where we cannot share all of our things with our parents but we can share only few things with them and few things with siblings and to friends. He says you can share everything with me where I'm called as a 'friend '. He says to call me as a father, we are his children where we have trust in him. We can experience all of his love. We are his.
John 15:13 New International Version (NIV) 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends, like a friend he lay down all his life for us. He sacrificed the most precious to experience love and a life like this to him. What a friend we have in Jesus! Here reminds me a song,
What a friend we have in Jesus All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh what peace we often forfeit Oh what needless pain we bear All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged Take it to the Lord in prayer Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness Take it to the Lord in prayer
Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge Take it to the Lord in prayer Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In his arms he'll take and shield thee Thou wilt find a solace there
