Darkness wrapped around me,
A harsh gust threw my hair, roughly but not aggressively, in front of my face.
A sudden rush pushed my jumper firmly against my back,
It was almost... Comforting.
Like a hand on my back, egging me on.
A warm shiver ran down my spine.
The breeze swirled past my ear,
Telling tales of the lost and those of the forgotten.
It's whispers filled the air,
Offering a place far away, a better tomorrow,
But with it came a price, one I couldn't afford.
So I walked away,
I stepped inside and shut the door behind me.
Yet the wind's promise lingered, haunting my thoughts.
