    The springs sag when you crawl in after me;
    Wrapping arms around my shoulders and chest like a lover,
    Holding me tender;
    But your palms are cold and clammy,
    Uncomfortable enough to shake me to my bones.
    And I'm reminded still that you've always a place here,
    With me, lonesome and shivering in your embrace.
