I got out of a plane to an apartment in Brooklyn. At the time I just knew I was in New York. I had never seen a New York map at the age of five where I'm from. It was cold and windy. It was the first time I have ever seen snow. I have heard of it but never seen it. You can imagine how excited my curious mind was. I was in a new world. I had no fear of the present nor the future. I completely forgot my grandma and my family back home. My mind was too occupied with this new adventure. The lights, the bridges, and the tall buildings started to expand my horizons. I was lost in my own head listening to an effervescent melody in perfect harmony with my imagination of my new adventure.
