Sitting in the farthest corner of the room, I watch him in awe as he smiled and laughed without any inhibitions. Like the leaves on the trees when spring comes in, his eyes are the most wonderful shade of green I've ever seen. His deep laughter is the sunlight to my cold, cold heart and I bask in its warmth, treasuring this moment like gold.
But like the chime of the clock when it reached 12 midnight, the trance is interrupted by a voice so sweet that it leaves a bitter feeling inside my heart. She sat beside him, a smile on her face. Her eyes, a shade of blue that puts the ocean to shame, twinkled like the stars on the night sky. With her long, silky hair and lovely smile, she is perfect. Too perfect, that no one like me can compare even when I try.
And looking at the both of them is like seeing the moon when it is high above the sky, surrounded by stars. So beautiful, yet untouchable to those who can't fly.
